No need to worry!:-D

Man blir varm i kroppen.

Frostigt

Ännu en skön tur i skidspåret! :-)

Hann se vackra julsmyckade Liseberg innan stängning, fantastiskt fint!

Härlig morgonpromenad i full snöyra. :-)

Fint!
Heading home
We walked through Hyde Park, not missing the, for the moment empty, Speakers Corner. A heap of demonstration placards were waiting for the carriers, wich also the policemen that we could see all over London, were doing.
But for the moment the park and the area were peaceful and quiet.

The Palace

Captured a moment while walking through St. James Park. Another little guy that cought alot of peoples attention was a little squirrel, that intrusively looked for peanuts or something else to eat, almost in our pockets. It was a cute little creature. :-)

Down at River Thames the wind was icecold, we passed Big Ben quickly.
On the way back we had some soup at a nice italian place and we looked around for a while at Covent Garden. Then it was soooo nice to get back to the hotel and fill up the bath with hot water.
To see the musical in the evening was a great end of the day and of the week in England.

Sunday morning. Time to go home. :-)

Tasty

We passed alot of underground stations, as this one at Piccadilly Circus, but we kept walking above.

We also passed alot of nice Caffé's. On Regent street we found a really nice one, Caffé Concerto where we had to pop into for a while, for having a nice cappucino and a jummy appletart.

To sit and feel the english atmosphere at a caff'e or a restaurant is really nice. To be surrounded by the englishspoken people, enjoy a really nice tasty cup of coffe and feel that there is no hurry to anything.
That is relaxation and I think we were definitely worth it!
We were not the only ones that were thirsty :-)

London

Last saturday was our last day in Britain, well second last, sunday was our day of returning home. After a nice sleep at the Academy hotel, we put on our walkingshoes, for a day in London.
Where could you find a whole shop with umbrellas, if not in London :-)

Without any specific plans for the day, we decided when we passed the Shaftesbury theatre, that we would try to get tickets for the musical Flashdance, the dance-film that was shown during the 80th.
We were lucky, got last-minutes-tickets for half the price on the best seats in the salon :-) We really looked forward to the evening and sat happily down at a nice café for having breakfast.

Where about to go next?

It was chilly out. The english weather seams to always be humid and creap under your clothings into your skin.
While we were heading towards Trafalgar Square, we went in to the warmth for a while at the National Portrait Gallery, before we went on.
Friday
The EF corporate language school has planned our lessons very well I think, considiring individual training depending on each students level. The day starts up with individual lessons and after lunch we have group training, with people from different countries but who works with similar activities.
Every day before lunch I have my individul lesson, for three hours, with my very nice teacher, Wendy.
This last day got a dramatic start, cause Wendy got sick during the first lesson and was close a collaps. She sat down on the flood, I got water, opend the window and did everything I could do to help. She had collapsed once before, last year, so the symptoms were familiar to her. She had to leave and went home for some rest.
That was sad, I hope it's not to serious.
The day went on as usual, apart from that happening. The day ended with a leaving cermony, they served us english wine, we got our certificates and hugged all our new friends good bye.
We left Cambridge, for new adventures in London.

Just checked in at the Academy The Bloomsbury Town House.

Fish
Cause it got very late yesterday, coming back to the hotel in Cambridge at midnight, we had to get up early on thursday to do our homework. I'm thankful I'm used to getting up early, so I had no problem with that. :-)
The week is heading for the end. Thursday evening we had thought of doing some shopping in Cambridge, but actually we were to tired and not in the mood for shopping. But you always have to eat :-)

Seafood Selections
With our friends from Norway and some of the people from Stockholm, we went to the fantastic fish restaurant Loch Fyne. It's well known for their deliscious fish and seafood dishes and we agreed this was one of the best.

The King
Today it's saturday. This week has really flown away quickly! This morning we woke up in London at the very nice hotel The Academy.
But, we also went to London last wednesday. After our last lesson, wednesday afternoon, we jumped on a coach that took some of the course participants to the city centra of London, to the theatre area West End.

After a really nice meal with our new friends from Germany and Finland, at the italian restaurant Bella Italia on Eversholt street, we had to hurry to the Lyceum theatre, where we were going to see the musical; Disney's The Lion King.

I had expected to see lots of children in the audience but in fact I only saw one child!
Maybe they go and see the musical at day-time, during the weekends.
Anyway, cause I like musicals very much, I enyoyed the show alot :-)
I'm always impressed by their, specially childrens, clear voices when they sing.
They all sang beautifully and the story has really alot to tell!

Jamie

Not as tired as after day one, but still with the head full of new impressions, we went for a nice walk around Cambridge when the day at school was over on tuesday. We missed the arranged guided tour, but with a map in our hands, we found our way around pretty well anyway.

We were told not to miss the historical pub The Eagle. And of course we do as we are told :-)

Cheers!

We joined the other course participants for a meal at Jamie Olivers Restaurant.

Jamie's Olives on Ice were deliscious as a starter, followed by a nice spicy grilled chicken.

I finished with a superb tiramisu and this day was heading for late hours. A really good day was over and I was dying for going to bed for a well-needed sleep!
Homework
To be on an English course in Cambridge is rather intensive. We have been told to do all conversation, thinking and even dreaming in English :-) So I had better stick to that.
The course seem to be well planned and it's nice to meet people from all over the world. We also get homework each day. The program incluces social things in the evenings and first out was a visit at the local.

A nice pub on Tenison Rd.
The amount of different lagers and bitters were plenty.
First round was the teacher's.

I'm not so fond of bitter or dark heavy beer.
So I went for a nice golden coloured, cloudy german weissbier.
Erdinger.
A really nice one that should be savoured and enjoyed for a good while, served in a tall goblet style glass.
Mm, this homework wasnt to bad :-D
